Police identify possible suspect in north Columbia gas station shooting
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Columbia Police Department has identified a possible suspect in relation to a Monday afternoon shooting at the Break Time near the intersection of Vandiver Drive and Paris Road.
Columbia police tweeted that one man was shot. Police said in a tweet Terrance Johnson Jr, 27, of Columbia, is a suspect in the shooting.
Police say Johnson is wanted for first-degree assault, armed criminal action, felony property damage and unlawful use of a weapon. CPD also tweeted a video of the shooting. Police say Johnson is "considered armed and dangerous."

Police first responded to the Break Time around 3:30 p.m. for a shots fired call.
"We are responding to a shots fired incident in the 2400 block of Paris Road. Officers located one adult male with apparent gun shot wounds at the scene," the tweet read. "He was transported by EMS to a local hospital. We ask that the public avoid the area at this time"
Six police vehicles and a Crime Scene Investigation unit were at the gas station. Columbia Fire Department and MU Health Care ambulance units were also on the scene.

A witness who asked not to be named out of safety concerns said she heard about 15 shots exchanged between people in two vehicles. The shooting victim was lying on the ground, still holding a gun, when police arrived, she said.
