QUESTION OF THE DAY: Do Confederate statues belong on public land?

The last city-owned Confederate statue -- a monument to Gen. A.P. Hill -- was removed Monday morning from a public place in Richmond, Virginia.

The action is part of a debate that has been ongoing for years: Where do Confederate statues belong? Those for removal say they belong in cemeteries and museums, but not in a public place of honor. Those against removal say history is being removed from public view.
