PHELPS COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Fulton man was arrested Saturday by the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department after being accused of child sex crimes.

John Bias, 51, was charged with two counts of statutory sodomy. The sheriff's office said in a Facebook post that he was being held on a $250,000 bond.

The actions that led to the charges allegedly occurred in 2015, according to Casenet. A docket hearing was scheduled for Tuesday. Bias did not appear in court due to being in a hospital, according to Casenet.

A bond review hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Phelps County Courthouse in Rolla.
