Two Indian students drown in Lake of the Ozarks

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri State Highway Patrol water division recovered the bodies of two drowned men in the Lake of the Ozarks Thanksgiving weekend.

The men were both students from Telangana, India, completing master's programs at St. Louis University, according to Telangana Today.

Uthej Kunta, 24, and Shiva D. Kelligari, 25, were swimming in the Lake of the Ozarks when they went under and did not resurface, according to Highway Patrol.

One man was found Saturday just after 4 p.m. and pronounced dead on the scene. Troopers continued their search for the second body, which was found Sunday morning just after 9 a.m.
