Police: Columbia man who left bloody handprint on store window charged with stalking
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Columbia man was charged with second-degree stalking on Wednesday after police say he entered a store six times in two hours and made an employee feel unsafe.
Isom Roberts, 32, allegedly went into the store where the woman was working twice, stared and swore at her.
The third time he went into the store, Roberts was dripping blood. He then allegedly hit the window of the store with his bloody hand and left a handprint.
His blood began to accumulate puddles, according to a probable cause statement. The victim tried to wipe up the blood when Roberts snatched a rag from the woman.
Roberts returned to the store a fourth time and left a trail of blood in the store and swore at the woman again. He allegedly caused a disturbance in the parking lot of the store during the fifth and sixth times he returned.
The woman told police she knows Roberts and had been providing food for herself and Roberts and was paying for their hotel room.
Roberts is being held in the Boone County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
