Nebraska man hurt in Highway 179 crash in Cole County
COLE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Nebraska man suffered moderate injuries in a crash that closed down Highway 179 in Cole County on Thursday.
Kawa Khudhur, 25, of Lincoln, was hurt when his Freightliner tractor-trailer went off the road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. Khudhur got the truck back on the road, but the trailer went on its side into a ditch, pulling the truck onto its side and off the road.
The Missouri Department of Transportation shared on Twitter around 10 a.m. that the highway was closed between Route T and Scott Station Road. The road reopened about an hour and a half later.

The crash didn't involve other vehicles, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Khudhur was taken to University Hospital by ambulance. He was treated and released, a hospital spokesman said.
Troopers are investigating a one vehicle injury crash on MO 179, north of Jefferson City, in Cole County. The roadway is blocked as the tractor trailer overturned and it will take time for responding crews to upright the vehicle.
