Flu, monkeypox vaccine clinics to be held in Boone County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human Services on Monday announced vaccine clinics for the flu and monkeypox this week.

Flu vaccinations will be no cost to those between the ages of six months-18 years old. The cost of the vaccine for residents age 19 and older will vary, depending on insurance coverage.

The department will hold flu vaccine clinics:

Tuesday, Oct. 25

9-10 a.m. at the Hartsburg American Legion, 71 S. 2nd St., Hartsburg

2-3 p.m. at Moniteau Housing, 600 E. 4th St., Rocheport

Wednesday, Oct. 26

3:30-6 p.m. at Sturgeon School, 210 W. Patton St., Sturgeon

Thursday, Oct. 27

3:30-6 p.m. at the Harrisburg School District Central Office - Community Room,1000 S. Harris St., Harrisburg

Monkeypox vaccine clinics will be held:

Thursday, Oct. 27

3:30-6 p.m. at the Department of Public Health and Human Services, by appointment.

Saturday, Oct. 29

11 a.m.-2 p.m. for a walk-in clinic at the Center Project at 805 Fairview Ave. No appointment required.

Those younger than 18 years old will require parental consent to be vaccinated. The vaccine will be given free of charge. No insurance information is required.
