Teen killed in crash in Morgan County Friday evening

A 16-year-old boy from Florence died in a crash in Morgan County Friday evening.

According to Missouri Highway Patrol Crash Reports, the crash happened just before 8:00 p.m. on Highway 135, north of Butterfield Road.

Troopers say, the teen was driving a 2003 Honda Civic when it crossed the center of the road and hit a truck traveling in the other direction.

The teen was pronounced dead on scene and the driver of the truck was transported to Capitol Region Medical Center with minor injuries, according to the Highway Patrol.

M-S-H-P reports, the teen was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

This is Troop F's fourth fatality for October.
