Hy-Vee recalls eight cheese products due to Listeria concerns

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Hy-Vee issued a recall Monday on eight products that include cheese.

The chain announced the recall in a press release after being notified by Old Europe Cheese, Inc., that some of its products manufactures for Saputo Cheese USA may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The recall was issued for Hy-Vee grocery stores in Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin. The Best By expiration ranges for the impacted products range from Sept. 28-Dec. 14. No illnesses have been reported to the store.

Customers who purchased those products are advised to discard them or return them to their local Hy-Vee for a refund.
