Phelps County man flown to University Hospital after crash in Miller County

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Phelps County man was flown to University Hospital early Sunday morning following a crash in Miller County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Missouri Route 87 at Boulder Rd. in Miller County.

Troopers say, 58-year-old Joseph Luskey was traveling northbound on Missouri 87 on his motorcycle when he approached an unfamiliar curve. His motorcycle started to skid and crossed the center of the road hitting a truck traveling southbound, causing the bike to overturn. The motorcycle then slid off the road throwing Luskey off the bike.

The truck returned to the southbound land and came to a stop.

The driver of the truck, 68-year-old Bruce Sestak had no injuries.

Luskey was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries.
