Kansas City Amber Alert canceled, children found safely

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Both children were safely located and the Amber Alert was canceled.

An Amber Alert was issued Sunday evening in Kansas City for two young girls, ages 7 and 4, who are believed to be with 27-year-old Jordan Maurice Owsley.

Around 4 p.m. Saturday, two young girls are believed to have been taken from the 1300 block of East 89th Street in Kansas City.

Missouri State Highway Patrol asks the public to be on the lookout for a white Kia Optima, license plate number VF2-E2B.

The suspect is the children's biological father who is convicted of a homicide.

The girls are both Black. The older one is wearing an orange top, pink bottoms and brown sandles with her hair in a ponytail. The younger girl is wearing a pink, blue and white romper and pink and white sandles with her hair in braids with beads.
