Missouri State Highway Patrol

MARIES COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Troopers responded Thursday morning to a motorcycle crash in Maries County that left a man with serious injuries.

The crash happened on State Highway N about 9 miles north of Dixon around 7:15 a.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Jacob E. Stoneking, 21, of Dixon, was thrown from the motorcycle after it rolled over in the road. It's unclear what made Stoneking lose control of the motorcycle.

Crews flew Stoneking by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia. MU Health Care told ABC 17 News on Friday morning that Stoneking is in good condition.

Troopers said Stoneking was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
