Highway patrol cancels Amber Alert for St. Louis area toddler

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has canceled an Amber Alert for a missing St. Louis area toddler.

Troopers said 2-year-old Amari Washington was found safe Wednesday.

The highway patrol issued the alert after Washington was left in a car that was stolen from a parking lot in the 3300 block of Dunn Road in St. Louis around 2:45 a.m.

Troopers said Washington was left unattended in the car before the vehicle was stolen. The highway patrol didn't find the suspects who stole the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the St. Louis County Police Department.
