Multiple rescues reported amid flooding in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMIZ)

Multiple agencies are reporting vehicles stalling and people trapped due to rising flood water in St. Louis.

The St. Louis Police Department is reporting Eastbound Highway 64 between Hampton & Kingshighway is also experiencing flooding.

The department is also reporting multiple streets are flooded with multiple vehicles underwater across the city however, no reported injuries.

The St. Louis Fire Department also reported several vehicles/motorists stranded in high/rising flood water on the 4000 block of Lindell just before 3:30 p.m. and North Vandeventer and Washington just after the same time.

The National Weather Service in St. Louis issued a flash flood warning for the city until 5:45 p.m. with two to three inches o rain expected to fall.
