The unemployment rate in Missouri for the month of June was the lowest seasonally adjusted rate since 1976.

That's according to Missouri's new jobs report.

The state says the unemployment rate last month was at 2.8-percent.

There was also an increase of 65,500 jobs since last June.

Over the past year, the unemployment rate decreased by 1.6-percentage points.

Gov. Mike Parson tweeted earlier calling this "Great news."
