Firefighters respond to laundry room fire at Inn at the Grand Glaize

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. (KMIZ)

Just before 1 a.m. on Thursday, crews from the Osage Beach Fire Protection District responded to reports of a fire at the Inn at the Grand Glaize.

Before crews arrived on the scene, dispatch said there were active flames and smoke visible and that guests were evacuating.

Crews arriving on the scene helped evacuate guests and determined the smoke and fire were coming from the laundry room of the hotel.

Officials say sprinklers had activated and extinguished a large majority of the fire however crews help extinguish the remaining part of the fire.

Officials say the fire was contained to the room of origin and smoke damage was found throughout the building.

Guests were able to return to their rooms by 2:30 a.m.
