Moberly man arrested after report of possibly taking woman against her will

MOBERLY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 31-year-old Moberly man has been arrested and is now facing multiple charges, after Moberly Police received a report of a woman possibly being taken against her will on Sunday.

According to a press release from police, officers learned there was a protection order in place between the man and woman.

Moberly Police also received a call about a separate incident, where a man was allegedly assaulted by the 31-year-old suspect.

The department was initially unable to locate the suspect, before ultimately finding him in the 800 block of McKinley Street, where they took him into custody.

The woman was also located by officers unharmed, according to reports.

According to the department, the investigation is ongoing with pending charges of felon in possession of a firearm, possession of controlled substance, and multiple domestic abuse charges.

The man was also booked on active warrants and was taken to the Randolph County Jail.
