COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Boone County Prosecutor's Office filed charges Tuesday against a woman accused of a shooting outside a club in central Columbia.

Prosecutors have charged Daneisha L. Harvey, 26, of Columbia with two counts of armed criminal action, one count of first-degree assault, and one count of unlawful use of a weapon. The Columbia Police Department responded to the shooting on Saturday night just before 11:45 p.m. outside the Plush Lounge off Business Loop 70.

Officers recovered evidence of the shooting, including bullet casings, in a nearby parking lot, according to court documents. Police said the victim told officers Harvey shot at her seven to eight times from a car.

The victim told police Harvey is dating their ex-girlfriend and was upset with them, according to court documents. Crews took the woman to University Hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her leg.

Police said surveillance camera footage from a nearby business helped link Harvey to the shooting. Court documents reveal officers also used two databases to link a cellphone number listed on Facebook to Harvey.

Harvey is being held in the Boone County Jail on no bond.
