One person shot on North Blvd Saturday night

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

EDITOR'S NOTE: The location of the shooting has been corrected.

No one has been detained after Columbia Police say a woman suffered a non-life-threatening injury after she was shot on North Blvd late Saturday night.

Employees at Plush Lounge nearby say they heard six shots fired. Witnesses say the woman was shot in the leg.

While on scene, ABC 17 News crews saw one evidence marker and 10 Columbia Police Department vehicles.

ABC 17 News crews also saw police searching one vehicle at the scene, and found what appeared to be a possible bullet hole in a nearby building.

While CPD say they do not have any suspect information at this time, Sgt. Derek Moore says they do have leads they are currently following up on.

Columbia Police say that the woman was transported to a local hospital following the shooting and they don't believe any of the businesses were in involved in the shooting that took place.

CPD says there is no threat to the community and this is an ongoing investigation.
