MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Laurie, Missouri man faces possible charges after a crash in Miller County on Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened after 1:05 p.m. on westbound Highway 52 near Pace Road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Troopers said a car driven by 19-year-old Drew J. Danner hit a pickup truck head-on after he lost control of the vehicle and crossed the highway's center.

Danner was going too fast for the weather conditions, according to the crash report. A 14-year-old Eldon boy from Danner's car was flown by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

Danner was arrested by troopers for DWI that caused serious physical injury, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and other crimes.

At last check, the Miller County Prosecutor's Office hasn't filed charges against Danner.
