Contract details released for Mizzou men’s basketball assistant coach Kyle Smithpeters

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

ABC 17 has received contract details via an open records request concerning Mizzou men's basketball assistant coach Kyle Smithpeters. The contract says that Smithpeters has agreed to a one-year deal with a $150,000 salary.

The contract states that Smithpeters will be considered a benefit-eligible employee of the University and has some perks worked in.

While at Mizzou, Smithpeters will get one car or a monthly vehicle stipend of $500. He will also get free tickets to athletic games.

Smithpeters spent the past 10 years as the head coach at John A. Logan.

In head coach Dennis Gates' contract, $915,000 was included for his three assistant coaches.

With the hire of Smithpeters, that money has been divided between associate head coach Charlton Young who will make $600,000 yearly on a three-year contract and assistant coach Dicky Nutt who signed a one-year deal for $165,000.
