Churches set to complete dozens of community improvement projects in Jefferson City on Sunday

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Eleven churches have partnered for the eighth annual Mission JC, a day of service that is set to see 36 community improvement projects be completed.

Churches partnering with Sunday's event include: Central Church, Community Christian Church, Familia Cristiana Internacional, First Baptist Church, First Church of God, First Presbyterian Church, First United Methodist Church, Living Hope Church, Memorial Baptist Church, Oasis United Church of Christ and Southridge Baptist Church.

The event is set to begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday with breakfast, before a kick off celebration with music and speakers.

Volunteers will then be sent out to one of 36 community improvement projects, with everything from planting trees and mulching, to baking cookies and writing thank-you letters.

All projects, are scheduled to be completed by noon on Sunday however, leaders say time frames could change based on the project.
