Texas man faces more charges of deceptive business practices in Boone County

The Missouri Attorney General's Office filed more charges against a Texas man accused of deceptive business practices.

Lance Mickey allegedly took money from customers and left the state without providing work.

He was originally charged with four counts of deceptive business practices regarding cases in southern Missouri. According to court documents, four victims came forward and allege that from August 2020 to December 2020, Mickey allegedly stole over $16,000 from them. In one case he's accused of taking more than $11,000 from a Waynesville couple without doing any work.

Since then he has also been charged in Boone County with two counts of financial exploitation of an elderly or disabled person and five counts of deceptive business practices.

According to court documents, Mickey allegedly stole over $11,730 from a business without doing any work.

Mickey is scheduled to be arraigned on May 26.

According to online court records, Mickey does not have an attorney currently.
