Pulaski County deputies rescue 11 dogs from home

Kitten & Puppy Division Adoption Center

PULASKI Co., Mo. (KMIZ)

Pulaski County deputies visited a home in the 13000 block of Halt Drive on Thursday and found 11 dogs in need of medical attention.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office said initial reports said several dogs were severely emaciated and neglected at the home.

The owners of the dogs voluntarily surrendered them to the Kitten and Puppy Division Adoption Center where they were treated by medical professionals. The sheriff's office reports the animals are still being treated.

Law enforcement is not releasing the owners names at this time but said an updated release may be posted once charges are filed.

Law enforcement said donations to the Kitten and Puppy Division will be used for the continued care of the dogs.
