Hallsville teen killed Wednesday in crash on Highway 124

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released the name of a teenager killed Wednesday in a crash on westbound Highway 124.

A pickup truck driven by a 17-year-old New Franklin boy rolled over after the vehicle left the highway and hit a concrete culvert around 5:20 p.m., according to the crash report. Emergency crews pronounced Molly P. Jones, 18, of Hallsville, dead at the scene.

Troopers said the driver was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for moderate injuries.

The driver was wearing a seat belt, according to the crash report. Troopers said Jones wasn't wearing a seat belt.
