Former Hickman star earns Big 12 wrestler of the week

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou wrestler Jeremiah Kent is the Big 12 wrestler of the week.

The former Hickman star upset No. 7 Marcus Coleman in MU's loss to Iowa State on Feb. 16. It was Kent's highest ranked win of his collegiate career.

The Columbia native is the fifth MU wrestler to earn Big 12 weekly honors this season.

MU finished the regular season 8-2 in the Big 12. Up next - the Tigers will compete in the Big 12 Tournament starting March 5 in Tulsa, Okla.
