One person hurt after duplex fire in north Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

One person was injured after a duplex fire in north Columbia just before 12:30 Wednesday morning.

According to the Boone County Fire Protection District, it happened in the 2500 block of Oakbrook Drive.

One side of the duplex was on fire.

Officials said one patient had a burn injury to the hand and was taken to the hospital. Crews told ABC 17 News the fire caused around $100,000 in damage to the home.

BCFPD did not immediately say what caused the fire.
