COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The University of Missouri System and the MU campus will move to remote operations and classes for Wednesday and Thursday due to winter weather.

Officials said in a previous release that faculty can use many ways to reach students in a release, such as holding Zoom class meetings, assigned readings, or other assignments.

Officials say employees who are not required to work on campus during a weather event could be expected to telework from home or another location as supervisors direct.

Officials ask anyone to check the host location if there are off-campus activities such as clinics, off-campus meetings or conferences for cancelations or changes.

The ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Team has issued a Weather Alert Day from Tuesday night through midday Friday due to the winter weather.

Snowfall is expected from Wednesday through early Thursday; possibly ending by Thursday afternoon.

Most likely amounts in this band will range somewhere in the 8 to 12-inch range.
