SUNDAY UPDATES: Nine new COVID-19 related deaths added over the weekend

The state now has a seven day positivity rate of 31% on Sunday. An additional 11,134 new COVID-19 cases were added over the weekend bringing the total of confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic is now 1,069,678.

There have also been 257,870 probable antigen test results being positive, with 1,979 added between Saturday and Sunday.

Nine new deaths was added. DHSS has recorded a total of 13,948 COVID-19 related deaths.

The state dashboard says new cases are down by 34.3% over the past seven days. The positivity rate decreased by 4.8% in that same time, while tests are down 22.6%. 

In the state's healthcare system, 3,662 people are dealing with COVID-19 infections. Of those, 700 are in the ICU and 14% of the ICU bed capacity remains open.

Sunday numbers show that 62.5% of Missouri residents have gotten at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine. For Missourians 18 and older that number is at 73.5% and 33.3% for those ages 5 to 17.

In total, 8,321,345 of the vaccine have been put into the arms of residents in the Show-Me State. In the past 7 days, the average daily doses given was 9,237.
