Man seriously hurt after being hit by car in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man was seriously hurt after being hit by a car in Columbia on Saturday night.

According to Columbia Police, Sullivan S. Preston, 19 of Bowen, IL was walking eastbound along I-70 Drive Northwest when he was hit by a 2003 Honda CRV.

Joseph C. Gilmore, 30 of Columbia was behind the wheel of the CRV and also driving eastbound along I-70 near Barnwood Drive.

Preston was taken to the hospital after the crash.

CPD reports this is an on-going investigation.
