WEATHER ALERT DAY: Arctic air covers Mid-Missouri

Temperatures have settled into the upper teens to around 20 as skies clear out this evening, with wind chills falling into the single digits. Overnight lows will hover between 5 to 7 degrees above zero, with wind chills a few degrees below. We're about 20-25 degrees cooler than Monday evening.

SETUP

An Alberta clipper moved through this morning, bringing another strong punch of cold air. With skies remaining mostly clear into tonight, temperatures will reach dangerous levels.

IMPACTS

Temperatures have fallen into the teens this morning. With the cold air continuing to filter in throughout the day today, highs will only reach the low-mid 20's. Tonight is set up to be the coldest with this latest outbreak, with lows in the single digits.

  • Check on neighbors
  • Keep the pipes warm
