Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri to sell current location

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri has announced they are selling their current location to Saint Raymond's Society.

The nonprofit organization posted on Facebook saying ownership of the location will be transitioned in early 2023.

The group also shared they are working with MU Health Care to determine a temporary location while they build a new Ronald McDonald House.

Officials say in the release that it will always be vital for the Ronald McDonald House to be within steps, not miles, of the community’s children’s hospital because minutes matter when there is a hospitalized child.

The new location will be close to the new children's hospital which is expected to open in 2024.
