Mizzou men’s hoops gets first SEC road win

OXFORD, Miss. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team beat Ole Miss 78-53 to secure its first SEC road win of the season on Tuesday night.

Amari Davis led the Tigers with 23 points on 10-of-10 shooting. Boogie Coleman 8 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. The Tigers shot 63 percent from the field as a team. They were 4-of-7 from three-point range.

Mizzou held a comfortable 38-23 at halftime. Ole Miss cut the lead to 57-47 with 7:46 to go in the game, but the Tigers responded with a 15-0 run.

Mizzou is now 8-9 overall and 2-3 in the SEC. Up next - the Tigers will play at Alabama on Saturday at 5 p.m.
