  1. At least the shooting wasn’t downtown this time. From the police scanner:

11:38 pm Dispatcher: “Boone County, all officers, information: we are getting ten plus calls for shots fired in the Claudel Square Apartments…still gathering.” Three officers are dispatched.

Dispatcher: “So far with all the callers, we have nothing seen or heard (???), multiple shots.” Are the callers using ESP to detect the shots?

Officer: (sirens in the background) “I see the note about a patient, start at least a couple more.”

Dispatcher: “People are advising possibly a black male hoodie, jeans with a mask on.” No word if it was an N95 mask, worthless fabric mask, or other mask. Unknown if this is the shooter, subject was seen running from the scene. Medics and K-9 are dispatched.

Officers discuss setting up a perimeter. Two patrol cars arrive at the scene simultaneously.

Officer: “Black male, approximately 20 years old, gunshot wound to his right foot …and gunshot wound to his leg.” Medics are sent in. I wonder if this was a self-inflicted gunshot wound while getting his gun out to return fire? Cops apply a tourniquet.

Suspect vehicle descriptions is sent out over the radio.
