Law enforcement searching a field in south Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A large law enforcement presence is in south Columbia.

Police are looking in a field near Grindstone Parkway and Rock Quarry Road where an ABC 17 news crew says a perimeter has been set up.

An ABC 17 News crew can see a police dog and a drone was helping search the area.

Both Columbia police and the Boone County Sheriff's office are on scene.

They got there just after 9:30 p.m.
