Two Mizzou basketball standouts earn SEC weekly honors

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two Mizzou women's basketball players earned SEC weekly honors on Tuesday. Hayley Frank and Lauren Hansen shared the Co-Player of the Week honors.

Hansen and Frank each scored a co-team high 21 points in the Tigers overtime win over No. 1 South Carolina last Thursday. Hansen's last second layup secured a 70-69 win over the Gamecocks. It was the first time MU has ever taken down the top team in the nation.

Hansen is averaging 11 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Frank is averaging 15 points and five rebounds per contest.

MU is now 12-2 on the season. Up next - the Tigers will host Auburn on Thursday at 6 p.m.
