Tyler Badie will not play in the Armed Forces Bowl

FORT WORTH, Texas. (KMIZ)

MU running back Tyler Badie will not play in Mizzou's Armed Forces Bowl matchup against Army, as the senior has declared for the 2022 NFL Draft. Instead, the Tigers will start graduate running back Dawson Downing.

The team announced that Badie will still attend the game as a captain.

Via Instagram, Badie said his time in Missouri has given him enough memories to last a lifetime.

The senior finished a record-breaking season in MU's matchup against Arkansas. Badie holds the program's single-season rushing record with 1,604 through 12 games in the 2021 season.

Drinkwitz also added that backup quarterback Brady Cook will get the start over Connor Bazelak on Wednesday.
