Bomb and arson detectives investigating house fire in Affton

AFFTON, Mo. (AP) — St. Louis County bomb and arson detectives are investigating a house fire that killed a 91-year-old woman in Affton. The fire broke out Saturday evening. By the time officers arrived the house was engulfed in flames, and thick smoke prevented rescuers from immediately getting inside. The victim was identified as Helen Roeslein. Authorities say the preliminary investigation determined the fire was accidental.
