Officials say 2 killed in house fire north of Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Officials say two people have been killed in a house fire outside of Kansas City, Missouri. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office says firefighters responded to calls just before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday of the fire south of the unincorporated community of Gower north of Kansas City. Arriving fire crews found two people dead inside the burning home, along with several small pets that also died in the fire. Officials have not released the names of those killed. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
