A Trio of Tigers earn All-SEC honors

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Three Mizzou football players earned All-SEC honors on Tuesday, as voted on by the league coaches.

  • Running back Tyler Badie: First Team All-SEC
  • Kicker Harrison Mevis: First Team All-SEC
  • Center Michael Maietti: Second Team All-SEC

Badie rushed for a school record 1,604 yards during the regular season, which is also tops in the SEC. The senior also tied for the most rushing touchdowns this season with 14.

Harrison Mevis was 20-of-22 in field goals during the regular season, including 3-for-3 from 50+ yards out.

Michael Maietti led the blocking attack for Badie and MU's other running backs. He's started 55 games during his college career.

MU finished the regular season 6-6. The Tigers will play Army in the Armed Forces Bowl on Wednesday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. in Fort Worth, Texas.
