Mizzou to play Army in Armed Forces Bowl
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Mizzou football team will play in the Armed Forces Bowl against Army on Wednesday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. in Fort Worth, Texas.
The game will be played at TCU's Amon G. Carter Stadium.
Army is 8-3 on the season. The Black Knights still have to play Navy on Saturday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m.
Meanwhile, Mizzou went 6-6 during the regular season. The Tigers won three of their last five games to become bowl eligible.
Army is No. 2 in the nation in rushing, averaging 301.2 yards on the ground per game. The Black Knights have scored a nation-leading 43 rushing touchdowns this season.
MU holds a 3-1 all-time record over Army. The Tigers and Black Knights last played in 1982. MU won 23-10 at Faurot Field.
Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz is 8-0 in bowl games during his coaching career. MU has 17 players from Texas on its current roster.
