Mizzou recruiting coordinator reportedly takes OC job at SMU

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou football team is in need of a new recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach. Casey Woods is leaving to take the offensive coordinator job at SMU, according to a report from Yahoo Sports.

He will reunite with SMU's new head coach Rhett Lashlee. The two coached together at Auburn from 2009-11.

Woods has spent the last two seasons on the MU staff under head coach Eli Drinkwitz.

Also on Thursday - Yahoo Sports reported MU is expected to promote Al Davis to full-time defensive line coach. He took over the position group after Jethro Franklin was fired in the middle of the season.

We've reached out to MU to confirm these reports, but we have not heard back yet.
