Mizzou men’s hoops falls in Jacksonville Classic championship

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (KMIZ)

The Mizzou men's basketball team lost to Florida State 81-58 in the Jacksonville Classic championship game on Monday night.

Amari Davis led MU with 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting. Kobe Brown followed up his 24-point performance on Sunday night with 13 points against the Seminoles.

Mizzou's defense struggled to stop the Seminoles offensive attack. FSU shot 61% from the field, including 42% from 3-point range. 13 different players scored for the Seminoles.

The Tigers are now 3-2 on the season. Up next - MU will host Wichita State on Friday at 8 p.m.
