Multiple residents displaced in fire at a six-unit condo in Jefferson City
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Jefferson City Fire Department responded to the report of a fire in a residence on Hobbs Ct. Sunday.
First arriving fire units found smoke coming from a six-unit condo. After confirming with the occupants that everyone had evacuated from the involved residence, firefighters advanced hose lines to the fire, quickly extinguishing it. Â
Fire damage was contained to one residence, with 2 other residences affected by smoke from the fire.  Â
No one was home when the fire started with residents returning to find their home on fire. Â
Fire units are conducting investigations into the cause and origin of the fire. Â
Multiple residents were displaced due to the fire and smoke damage. Red Cross has been called to assist those displaced. Â
One firefighter was treated at an urgent care facility for injuries sustained during the incident.
