FULTON, Mo. (KMIZ)

Fulton Police Chief Steven Myers announced his retirement effective Dec. 3  after more than 39 years of law enforcement service.

Myers has served as Fulton Police Chief since 2002

In 2012, Chief Myers developed the strategic plan to move the police department to the current location on South Business 54.

Chief Myers helped to modernize the department’s equipment but also included the deployment of the Crisis Intervention Team concept and training officers to help identify persons needing mental health assistance.
