A Raymondville man was sentenced to four years in prison after he pleaded guilty to abandonment of a corpse in the 2018 missing person case of Matthew Beauchamp.

Timothy Sullins, 41, told officials that in September 2018, he and Wendy Sullins were with Beauchamp when he had a fatal drug overdose. Then the Sullins and the other person moved the corpse of Beauchamp at a residence on State Road VV and disposed of Beauchamp’s body along County Road 470.

Sullins and the other person did not notify authorities of Beauchamp’s death or of the location of his body and Beauchamp’s family reported him missing to authorities in Audrain County in the fall of 2018.

In December 2019, Wendy Sullins, died of a drug overdose and a juvenile who had lived with her and Timothy Sullins at the State Road VV residence in September 2018 disclosed that the couple had disposed of Beauchamp’s body after he died at the residence.

Sullins admitted the offense to investigators and took them to the location along County Road 470 where investigators discovered Matthew Beauchamp remains.
