Mizzou will play at Vanderbilt on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Tigers are Commodores are both still searching for their first conference wins of the season. MU is 3-4 on the season.
Drinkwitz opened up his news conference on Tuesday by recognizing three of his seniors. Case Cook, Mason Pack and Chris Turner have all suffered season-ending injuries.
You can hear what he had to say about each of those players here.
Coach Drinkwitz said his team focused on three main things during the bye week: penalties, turnovers and slow starts. Defensive coordinator Steve Wilks said he did a lot of self-scouting this week.
"Let's get back to the basics," Wilks said. "Let's get back to the fundamentals and techniques. We're not going to out-scheme guys. We've got to out-play them."
On another note - construction is underway on the new indoor football facility adjacent to Faurot Field. Workers spent the day clearing out trees in the area where the building will go. You can check out our video here.
