COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia attorney announced her candidacy for Boone County associate circuit court judge for Division X.

If elected, Kayla Jackson-Williams would be the first black judge in the county.

Jackson-Williams says she is running because she believes her diverse background and legal experiences will offer a unique perspective.
