Two people hurt after motorcycle crash in Miller County

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people were hurt after a motorcycle crash in Miller County early Sunday morning.

The single-vehicle crash happened just before 5 a.m. on northbound Highway U south of Barton School Road.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Tretch L. Lawrence, 45, of Kaiser, Missouri was thrown from the motorcycle after he drove off of the right side of the road and into a ditch.

Troopers said his passenger, Aimee D. Nye, 33, of Brumley, Missouri, was also thrown from the motorcycle.

She was treated at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach for serious injuries and released.

Nye wasn't not wearing a helmet, according to the crash report.

Troopers said Lawrence was flown to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries. He's listed in fair condition.

According to the crash report, it's unknown if Lawrence was wearing a helmet.
