Mizzou Homecoming parade returns after a year off due to COVID-19

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The University of Missouri is set to bring back its homecoming parade in full swing, after being canceled in 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic.

The parade, is set to kick off at 9 a.m. Saturday morning, starting at the Reynolds Alumni Center before making its way downtown, ending on 5th and Cherry.

Homecoming festivities continue throughout the day Saturday, with Mizzou taking on The University of North Texas in the annual homecoming football game set to kick off at 3 p.m.

Traffic will be impacted with multiple roads downtown and is expected to be close down some roads for the parade. Parking downtown along the parade route is not allowed, and vehicles could be towed if left downtown.

For those unable to attend the parade Saturday, a livestream will be available on the university's Facebook page.
